Scott Dauenhauer, CFP is the Founder and President of Meridian Wealth Management.  Scott grew up in Portland, Oregon where he started his career in financial services.  Scott moved to Southern California to finish up his schooling at Vanguard University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Finance.  Soon after graduating, Scott began pursuing the Certified Financial Planner designation while working and gaining experience at several of the largest brokerage firms in the United States.  It was while working at those firms that Scott uncovered several of the secrets of the financial services industry.  Those secrets as described in his mini-book, “6 secrets your broker doesn’t want you to know,” formed his basis for leaving the big brokerages firms and starting his own firm which concentrate on people, not products.

Scott’s #1 goal in life is to remain in God’s will and he believes that means putting his family first.  Shauna, his wife of almost 4 years will be giving birth to their first child in July/August of 2001.  Family is extremely important to Scott, which is another reason he started Meridian.  He wanted to create an environment where families could come and receive unbiased advice on their financial and life goals.  This environment would emphasize family values and provide an outlet that is quite different than you will find at a large brokerage.

Scott’s hobbies are reading, golf, softball, skiing, & relaxing.  His favorite places to relax are Lake Arrowhead and his couch at home.  Scott & Shauna have attended Coast Hills Community Church since they moved to Aliso Viejo in 1999 and love it.  His favorite movies are the Star Wars & Indiana Jones series.
